so just to give you an update on the state of the site:
some of the modules on this version are broken, and no longer supported without a major version upgrade.

the new upgrade isn't wanting to import *THIS* database (without eating it if shit goes wrong)

temporarily, my sql database creation is disabled.

so this means-
we can't start from scratch
we can't port/update this version
we can't fix/use fully the current version

so you see what kind of pickle we are in. we are waiting for our support ticket to be resolved by our
wonderful host [fgale.net], so please know that while it may appear that no updates are taking place,
work continues to go on behind the scenes. i have been suprised by all the positive scene feedback we
have recieved here- i was all but ready to just scrap the project, but have since heard from many that
they would rather use the current broken version than NO version.

we're working hard to make sure you don't have to work with a broken tool. thanks for the continued support.
keep in mind that stories may still be submitted by those with accounts.

so, as you may have seen, the downloads module is up, but the process itself is broken. same with new user registration, which is a major issue being worked on. in the process of upgrading and updating the cms on which the site runs. may start a fresh install with a new database if fixes do not work.
it appears to be something related to rendering or locating some of the site's images.
keep submitting news and releases.

We seem to be having a problem with either the news module or the link-to-permlink problems. we are aware of the problem, and are taking steps to correct the issue. thanks for bearing with. EDIT: looks like i IMMEDIATELY found the problem this time. looks like i just had to be tired enough...
